Is All In Vain?

__

Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy! He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.

Psalm 126:5‭-‬6 ESV

Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.

Psalm 127:1 ESV

2020 is almost ending and it has been a hard year for me. I felt so mentally exhausted and financially challenged. I felt like what I've been doing is for nothing. However, this verse reminds me that when we wait on the Lord, nothing is in vain. Our tears are not in vain. Our prayers and efforts are not in vain. Why? Because we are not doing the building; He is. We are not the one doing the guarding; He is. If we do it on our own strength, everything we are will be in vain.

We are only small, invisible particles of dust in the presence of the all-powerful creator of the cosmos. Our power and our strength means nothing compared to what He can do. We are limited. He is unlimited. Many are the plans in our heart, but only God's purpose will prevail (Proverbs 19.21). Be patient. Persevere. Wait on the Lord. Because nothing is in vain, for God is up to something in our life.

What we have to do right now is just to keep on doing that should be done: continually fighting our battle by giving the best we can, because our tears will be replaced by joy in the end.

To conclude, no matter what the challenges are in 2021, or wherever you are right now, always remember that you are important. You are precious. You are loved, because Jesus loves you and cares for you. He will be the one who will make things work, for "we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28 NKJV).

Never give up trusting on His promises. He will never fail us, because Jesus has always been the first initiatior to restore our broken relationship with Him by loving us and dying on the cross for us when we are broken and lost 😊

There's always hope.

Happy new year ✨🎉✨🎉
